Brings people together through lessons, workshops, ensembles, and concerts. Musicians and vocalists of all ages can learn, perform, and share their talents while building confidence and fostering a love of music.
The Piedmont Community Band is a concert band consisting of wind, brass, and percussion instruments. The band welcomes players from middle school into adulthood and all ranges of ability. With a focus on musical growth, more experienced musicians provide guidance and encouragement for younger or less-experienced players as the band works together to provide music to the community.
Piedmont Community Band presents several concerts a year and participates in many community events. The band welcomes invitations to appear at events.
In addition to providing performances, the band also participates in community events encouraging musical education and involvement. The band has provided activities at Windmore’s Fine Arts Summer Camp and at PACT. They are always happy to learn of other opportunities to help encourage musical growth and awareness.
If you play a band instrument, if you used to play a band instrument, or if you’re interested in learning a band instrument, the band invites you to join them for rehearsals on Sundays from 6:30 to 8:30 at Culpeper Baptist Church. Contact the band at pcb@windmore.org to learn more.
